The AB/BC business Unit is comprised of undeveloped land on emerging light oil resource plays and our Swan Hills play. The Swan Hills, located in northern central Alberta, is Lightstream's latest development area and is positioned to be an additional source of growth for the Company.
Lightstream holds a key land position in the heart of the Swan Hills play. Early exploration efforts in this region have provided valuable insight into the basin indicating significant future potential.
Lightstream's Swan Hills focus, to date, has been in Deer Mountain, which is located in the northeast corner of the larger Swan Hills area. In 2014, we drilled 7 new wells and grew Swan Hills' average production to 2,600 boepd, adding over 3,900 boepd to the total business unit's production for the year.
This asset has 13 MMboe 2P reserves booked at year end 2015 with an upside of over 420 undeveloped land sections and over 195 locations of drilling inventory.
Reservoir modelling indicates that the Swan Hills formation could be an excellent candidate for Enhanced Oil Recovery as projects are consistent with projects that have been implemented in some of our more traditional reservoirs.
